It’s not just about these two. Every house in this quintessential province is a living saga, a story waiting to be read, melody waiting to be enjoyed and an experience only to be lived! Every artist in this province is a curator in itself, preserving and carrying forward the rich heritage and legacy of their communities. Surviving in the most pitiable conditions, for them, this is not just any form of art or craft for them. This is their roots, their identity and even their Life – for this is their only form of livelihood.
“FAANAS”, which means Lantern in Gujarati, is our way of bringing light to the lives of these artisans; a humble endeavor to brighten up their life by creating a sustainable market-place for them to reach more and more audience; thus helping them preserve their dying art & craft legacy and also live a better life.
